Spain's newest marina - Alcaidesa
With an excellent communication infrastructure, it's proximity to Gibraltar and it's location in a privileged setting in the South of Spain right next to the Rock of Gibraltar, southern Spain's newest marina complex is already on its way fast becoming the premier marina location in Andalusia.
With berth prices from just 40,000 Euros, it's proximity to Sotogrande, and two superb 18-hole golf courses nearby, (including the only links golf course in Spain), Marina Alcaidesa will be one of southern Spain’s most attractive marinas located at the eastern end of Cádiz province.
The new marina Alcaidesa, in La Linea de la Concepción, will have a major impact on the area’s development which is undertaking new projects as part of its ongoing commitment to seeking excellence and providing a complete range of leisure amenities.
The marina, due to be finished by early 2010, will have marina berths for 800 leisure craft berths. 601 in the water from 8 to 50 metres, and 199 in dry stack storage from 6 to 8 metres. Its privileged location, just 5 minutes walk from Gibraltar airport and only 1 hour by car from international airports such as Malaga and Jerez, Marina Alcaidesa will have three distinctive areas: central (nautical-recreational-games); north (nautical-sport); and west (for passengers and commercial traffic).
Alcaidesa marina is located in a prime setting, just a few metres from the centre of La Linea, on the Algeciras Bay – and will include a large commercial and restaurant area, thus ensuring an attractive and lively atmosphere for the marina.
All berths and moorings will have 'fingers', differentiating the port from all other marinas on the Andalusian coast, and all have much larger beams. The berths range in size from 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40,and 50 metres, providing maximum flexibility to owners.
All main walkways will have independent access to optimise the circulation of users and to guarantee the security of boats. There will also be cameras for surveillance and internet access via Wi-Fi and TV services.
